Welcome girlies (non-gendered) to another edition of the Weekly Check-In. Like we said last week 🌸transition seasons got us a little french fried🌸 at the mo. However, I learned this week you can EAT MAGNOLIA PETALS? Surely this is how you infuse the spirit and magic of spring inside you? Yes?
Everyone around us does seem to be metaphorically and spiritually ☁️ goin through it☁️ buuUuutt this is why we’re constantly harping on about context. Cause like, she’s important to the creation of the thing. So, when you’re laying in bed face down at 3am walking through the sun salutations-of-self-talk chanting “I’m not a piece of shit” you can be like ooo right CONTEXT 🤝. Ok, anyway!

The Tony noms are out, and let’s just say, we have so much to see and so little time! Phoebe is foaming at the mouth to see the Rocky Horror Revival, Jacque can’t wait to see Joe Turner’s Come & Gone. What do we think of P!NK hosting? Is it weird? It’s weird right? I cannot look at that woman and not whisper “pank, get doon” 🦅
We have SO many books on the TBR list rn. I (Phoebe) just finished up Dana Schwartz new book (co-authored under the pseudonym S. D. Coverly, extremely cool concept) The Arcane Arts. If you like yearning, salt circles and chanting, this is for you. Next up is Sonia Feldman’s Girls Girl (honestly this duo is giving a Sofia Coppola-esque double feature).
