Bonjurinoo girlies! Big delish news from our American contigent (rare) The A-corp bill is now law in Colorado, which is a massive slay. 👏
Artists can now form legal entities that not only protects their business and economic property, but their creative choices too. And hey, if we are gonna have to navigate the self employed creative business artist life, why not do it with the same protections has every other business? Rumor has it A-corps are headed to California next, and if you get involved, it could get to your state too!!
Not to be all punk rock about it (jk I am always gonna make it about punk rock) but this is possible because of years and years of artists doing the hard shit; forming collectives, residencies, shared licensing agreements on and on, and hitting the streets and being annoying. The first Pride was a riot etc etc. So if you’re feeling a little “whats the whole point”, we feel you and, let’s rock 🤘 ya know?

Crocs. Yes, crocs. Listen we very VERY rarely have a thing-for-you-to-buy. And I shan’t even LINK the devils link here. But listen, the girls are going outside. It’s summer. We need a slippable shoe. So we. Are rockin. The crocs. Apparently the croc and sock is still an egregious offence? To which we say, hath ye never yieled COMFORT in thine life. Crocs. 🐊 That is all.
Ok HUGE news if you listened to J on the pod last week. People’s Lights production of The Woman Question is now streaming through June 21st! $15 to witness this really incredible totally devised production about women’s health, set in the 1894. Shock horror, not a lot has changed! (🫠). More pro shot of plays SVP 😤 (Also snaps and s/o to Friend of the pod Noelle Diane Johnson absolutely slaying in this 🫰)
Summer really is mocktail season 💆🏻♀️ These Smashed Cucumber Spritz (yes the candian… cucumber…. is that good 😌) from Justine Doiron look like they may just be the drink of the summer? Is it too early to tell? We shall be enjoying these with our al fresco moments under the shade of Phoebe’s rose bush thats currently a little out of control climbing up a tree!! 🥒🍃

It's only gossip if women are doing it and women have to gossip to stay safe in this world. It’s the gossip series girls! We kick off with a debrief on how the attitude towards gossip has changed during our lifetime (I’m gonna go ahead and just s/o Kelsey Mckinney for that one!) and we chat what makes for good gos (and like what even is gossip ANYWAY). Plus musical theatre corner, the Les Mis arena tour, and Phoebe liked a jukebox musical?
