trusting the process is kind of a bitch
Listen I am not a religious girlie at all, but all week i’ve been whispering to myself “man plans, god laughs” and LAUGHING SHE HAS BEEN girlies. Maybe it’s the retrograde pre-shadow, maybe it’s the tornado person nature maybe it’s a secret third thing but this week was a hypothesis at best.
I’ve been thinking a lot about the process recently. Maybe it’s the AI being forced down my throat, maybe it’s because everything looks the same, but I kinda think fucking up is in. Like it’s the only way I know we/I/you are human. Like the human mistakes are in. This is a half baked thought at best but I think being an artist means you almost (have to) value the journey more than we value the outcome (or what we think the outcome is).

Last Tango in Halifax 💃 cracks knuckles over keyboard everyday I wake up and try not to turn Do You Ever into “BritBox reccomendation corner” but I’ve got J hooked on one of my fav soaps. It’s the right amount of interpersonal-drama, mildly low stakes with a dash of “everything always works out in the end”. It’s Last Tango in Halifax mother fuckers. And please ask me to do my northern accent to go up on summat any. time.
Al Fresco Dining ☀️ We’ve said it before we’ll say it again. Food tastes better outside. The power of a chic meal on a little table outdoors by the flowers to transform us mind, body, and soul should not be underestimated. Jacque declared her summer of upstate NY vibes, with her sights on both Quinnies NY and Tartine for a sit. And Phoebe is ready to gaslight herself into thinking she is in France, but in her own backyard. EFFECT WELLNESS STRATEGIES!
Failing! Well… kinda! This week we wrote about how we didn’t get our apple podcast feature. Partly cause we wanted to show our work, partly so you can steal our strategy (or do exactly the opposite) partly because we worked really hard on it and shan’t let the writing and episode specific art go to waste. Remember what I just said about valuing the journey?

There is always this moment in a project plan where you set off, bright eyed and bushy tailed! Full of hope! And then you… start learning stuff. And the Dunning Kruger of it all starts to set in. In 2025 we declared it to be Year Of The Pod™️. What that meant specifically was a lot of things, but broad strokes our goal was (and still is) replace

Trust circle girls gather around. The girlies are (finally) back in their seperate abodes and podcasting from AFAR! Jacque is having a “DIY summer,” (lampshades, dining out). Phoebe has a new hyper fixation drink (s/o Justine Doiron cucumber spritz!) Plus a quick Tonys recap before we get to the question this week. Do you ever feel like… the art of gossip! We chat gossip as a storytelling tool, theatre kids culture, Greek chorus, narrators, Shakespeare, and sidekick/moral-police characters.
